By the way. How curious is it that when essence is freely given, the takers are few, the eaters are fewer, the digesters are fewer still, and the fulfilled are a rare species indeed.
For whoever in this world that sought the essence and whoever that sought for its integration. It brings to mind a classic stanza from the Bhagavad Gita.
manuṣyāṇāṁ sahasreṣu kaścid yatati siddhaye | yatatām api siddhānāṁ kaścin māṁ vetti tattvataḥ || "Among the thousands of humans, one may seek for fulfillment — and among those thousand fulfilled, rarely one knows me in truth."
While we're in the Sanskritic stream, by the way, let's cross-pollinate in proper measure with the Ancient Orientor.
ahaṁ sarvasya prabhavo mattaḥ sarvaṁ pravartate | iti matvā bhajante māṁ budhā bhāva- samanvitāḥ ||
In the context of the previous stanza, māṁ vetti tattvataḥ, "knowing me in truth — as it is".
"I am the becoming of all. In me all things circulate. Those who know me as such with intuitive intellect, they adore me, they abide in me."
So one in a thousand may pay attention, of the thousand attending one may become absorbed, and of the thousand absorbed, but one may reach victorious to the other side, witness the fullness of actuality as it is. So that's thousand to the power of three right there — exactly one billion. Then we wonder, why are the views so few and the comments yet fewer.
