When you've poured your heart into it — full attention, full absorption, embracing the engagements of life — there is peace and fulfillment in our tiredness. Take rest then... _#HeartyChatter #Satisfaction #TiredYetHappy #WholeHearted #EmbraceLife #Fulfilled_ **Late afternoon of a long day.** Nearing the end of a long year. Tired — but it's a good kind of tiredness. Not the sort of weary tired that has you looking back at your toils in life with resentment. Good riddance, won't have to do that again. There's a certain joy, also a certain peace. In looking back at what has been done, what has led to being tired. Much has been done, much yet remains to be done. All of it done with full attention, full absorption, wholehearted engagement. Whatever the outcomes may or may not be, it's not the fruits that lead to satisfaction. The process itself, the full engagement of your potential, that is the source of satisfaction. The simple awareness that you've done your best, and that's enough, and in that there is peace. Is there ever something pending, something that yet remains to be improved? For sure. All things in their due season. Pouring all that I have into all that is required, making the most of whatever that I encounter. What else is one to do? Live like a half-baked potato? No thank you. The fires that burn, they also transform you. And the waters that flood, they also heal you. Negative outcomes only ever really follow from your resistance to what is. When we refuse to acknowledge, to accommodate, to engage and embrace what life brings before us, that's when we burn, and that's when we drown. Nothing at all would ever cross your path if you had nothing that connects with it. When you seek those connections, when we discover the parallels between the "in here" and the "out there", we discover relevant potentials, ingredients within us to be cooked in the environment. For none of us ripens into something tasty, flavorsome, in solitude. All of our potentials are meant to be engaged. When these potentials have been engaged through and through, in the end you will be tired. Nurtured, satisfied, at peace — but also tired. So take your rest. If only rest is a luxury you can afford. For me, for today, not quite yet. Not for being driven by ambition. Not with a need to accomplish something. Not for my own sake. Simply duties to be fulfilled. Things that need to be done, they shall be done, and then we shall rest. So that's all for today. Be well. Be at peace. Seriously running on spare batteries up and down the hill here. Just as well I have several dimensions worth of backups. Remember to also charge your backups when you rest. So that's a home run here. Just downhill remains. Come on. Then we're done with yet another thing that needs to be done.
