If you're always ready — sort of basically, but a bit later — then you're always late. The bus of reality does not wait for you to snap out of the stupor and make up your mind maybe. Be present and vigilant to what each moment offers you.
No you don't have to do everything right now. However — if you prioritize to match the potentials present right now — you actually catch what life's trying to throw at you. Be here right now. All assets integrated. All systems tuned. Engage.
By the way. Are you ready — like as in right now? Or are you one of those always ready — but maybe like tomorrow — boys scouts? So if you actually want to get shit done and move somewhere in your life, you need to have constant operational readiness, seize the opportunities, engage when it's happening. Deprioritise, reprioritise, carve the space for what matters. In the moment.
I'll cook and I'll eat my steak now. And tomorrow I'll go and get the salt and pepper, munch them without the steak. That's the way I roll. Well, you know, whatever that floats you boat, but you could also just evaluate and prioritise all the things that are essential for current operations, compile them together in order of priority to streamline, to optimise, to make the most out of whatever it is that you engage with.
Collect every one of your assets. If it's relevant, then carve out the time for it. Put it all together. Full prep, total perspectives — then execute. You can't damn well reel back the wheels of time and retroactively fit in all the bits and pieces that you were missing. Maybe you can, but it's an awkward process.
Proactive readiness. That's the name of the game that will get you to the other side with full marks. All the things that seem critical in your tunnel, snap out of it for a moment, rewind back to the wings of the macro. Look at the full picture, what all deserves to be on board — then execute. Because reality doesn't wait for you. The bus is moving. You either catch it or you miss it. Seize the moment. The sun is shining. That's when you go and get a tan. You don't wait for the clouds to land. The tides are proper. The ocean swells. That's when you surf. Not like sometime a bit later in the afternoon.
