Talk from the True Heart vs. Fake News & Tall Tales (HC013)
Who speaks from a pure heart — sincere and committed to truth — does a service for all if us. Alas! Our world is saturated with fake news, false truths, tall tales — designed to warp your perception and drive you in favor of slanted agendas.
Watch your words with vigilance — and watch the hearts of those who weave the narratives for you. Only in truth, is there authentic life — and life in truth is the only way to clarity, peace, and our harmonic coexistence. Keep it real.
As we tell our tales, share our stories, report our reflections from the field, what stands primary above all is that they be the outpourings of a pure and sincere heart committed to truth. We need not craft it all to hook the emotions and intellects of our audience. Not as the first order of business.
When what you offer is genuine and authentic, then the resonance it kindles is born from a true place in the hearts and minds of your audience. What we share, we share "as is", without altering, without narrowing, without diverting — and in that, there is benefit for all.
Yes, facts are obviously always facts, and that's the measure of it, to the best of our ability. But stories, narratives too should be shared as mere simple reflections of a particular spectrum of life. Not used as vehicles for advancing a particular personal agenda.
Sure, at times we must choose particular spectrums and particular pathways from the vast story of life, in reflection with the ongoings in our environment. But not to line our pockets or to stage ourselves. Simply to provide perspective — into the environment.
When there is truth in what we share, it will be filled with life, and enlivened, it will show us the way of life. And none comes into the presence of luminous awareness, save through a life rooted in truth. So that's a bit more on the biblical side. No matter — good stories, fine principles.
But with the Bible, as with every scripture, there are so many distorted commentaries driving a particular agenda. So it is in the world of facts. Fake news, click-bait mind-warp social engineering. Even the academia is not immune from distortions to the truth.
And as there are fake news, so there are false truths. More insidious than plain old deception, we take truth for our banner — and deceive people. Filtering and padding of facts, selective bias, advancing our agendas, the weaving of narratives where we stage ourselves toward our success. Curated facts, slanted presentations, biased emphases, and narratives supporting our staging. Stepping into roles in our story bubbles, we expand these distorting lenses to envelope the world.
So, buyer beware. Look who's telling the story, and ask the question — why is the story being told. Then, keep your heart pure. Find your facts and share your stories in service of the collective. What is, as it is. The facts of life, the tales of life, as they are. Simple. Then be at peace. Live in the way of truth. You will be well.
