Grinding New Perspectives • Angles Into Real Life Ops (RB002)Play

Working it day in and day out. Grinding new angles to your awareness. Shaving off the edges of your veils. None of this is about dropping conclusions. All of this is about cutting open new perspectives and refining the insights already present.

So a friend asked about real life ops. You know — hit the streets, toss out some flyers. Get real people with real faces together. Sure. If the environment calls. However. Sure as hell not doing it all from a scratch. Some musings on all that.

Angle grinder. Variable speed. Favorite workhorse. Actually kind of related. We are here grinding new alternative angles to your existence.

It's not about sharing knowledge. It's not about dropping in conclusions. It's all about opening up those perspectives. Make sure you get the full picture by looking through the prism. The prism of every perspective that converges into a singular view.

In that singular view, knowledge and conclusions become self-evident. There's no need to spell them out. They come, emerge of their own accord. So that's an angle.

Now here's another angle. Someone just dropped me a message. Actually quite a few people have brought it up. Are you just doing this on the internet? Should we not get something going on in real life? Hands on, hit the road, down the streets. Well you know I actually do that — but I just don't push myself to the fore to make it happen.

When there's an invitation, when there's a calling from the environment, then sure, we'll throw a good gig. We'll set up a program, seminars, workshops, whatever. That's always in the cards, but however, I am not going to organize all of that from a scratch. If you want to see it happen, then, you know, do the groundwork and we'll see how it rolls.

Design some posters, glue them all over downtown. Print some pamphlets, whatever flyers, pass them around. Get people to a real place, face to face with their real faces. See what happens. We did heaps of that back in the day. But we did all that to promote someone presumed wise. We didn't do it for ourselves. Hell if I now start promoting myself for events, working it all from a scratch. No thank you.

What I do now fits nicely between the cracks in the 24 hours of my day. I'm building up a repository of knowledge, insight, information, perspectives. And whenever, if ever, things get real in actual life, face to face, then people have something to follow up on.

They have their homework cut out. The field of homeworks, follow up studies, is all prepared and well organized. Instead of everyone asking the same shit over and over and over again. Right? That just doesn't scale. We need resources.

So, you know, step by step and day by day, as it goes. Grinding new angles, shaving off the veils. When the pad gets worn out, you toss it out, take a new pad from the top of your head, put it spinning. And so it goes.
