Guru Principal by Swami Nihilananda Watapada (R002)
It is I Swami Nihilananda Watapada, hanging like the banyan tree of upside-down in the holy Sanskrit scriptures, presently here for the teaching of all your spiritual knowledges. Here we are firstly understanding the grades of the Sad-Guru, the Chit-Guru and the Ananda-Guru, as they are respectively determined. We are also explaining the Deep, the Deepak and the Deepsit levels of guruness, and how the guru is the revealer of the unbroken mandala in which all the moving and the non-moving things are moving and not moving, and with utmost respect to that principal.
We should like to elucidate upon the origin of all the things, thusly the spiritual knowledge of the first poet that confuses even the too many gods, and how the universe is created with the playing of the water and the fire, and how is the transcendental spiritual abode that is free of pollution and the absolute truth as we meditate upon it. There is also the local and the universal guru and furthermore there are at least the 32 elementary natural gurus that we should like to study from. When you are earnestly devoted to the guru and remember the guru-mantra and its meaningful imports, then surely such enlightenment will come like a wonderful burst into your soul. Namaste!

[Meow] Namaste. Hello my friends! Pleased to meet you. My name is Swami Nihilananda Watapada. My friend call me guru. So it is only befitting that I should speak about the guru principal. Okay.
In here I have the gurvasana or the guru seat. Guru paduka, guru shoes. Chaddar, robe. And my hat made by Lama Madahata from Tibet. Very close friend of the Dalai Lama.
Most importantly who I am actually. My name is Swami, Swami means like master, then Nihilananda. Now what is this Nihilananda? Swamiji is nihilist no? Now actually not nihilist, want to end all things. Nihilist, I am on the list of nihi. Inside joke. My students will know what I mean.
And Watapada, Watapada means banyan-tree-foot. Now what is this banyan-tree-foot? Does not make sense. Actually. It is said in the holy text, ūrdhva-mūlam adhaḥ-śākham aśvatthaṁ prāhur avyayam. There is a tree, its roots are upside, branches downward, upside down tree. And it is in the position of the upside down tree that I am hanging my feet upstairs, my head downstairs. So very good. That is already a little bit astonishing. Think about. Mm-hmm.
The Spiritual Principle of Sat Cit Ananda ¶
Today we are looking at the spiritual principle. Before we go into the guru principle in more detail. There is what we call sat chit ananda. Sat means the thatness of the substanceness, Chit means the knowledgeness, and Ananda means the blissfulness.
From this we get three kind of guru. Number one is what they call sat guru. Sat, because of sandhi rule, becomes "sad". Sad-guru. And the guru who is too much absorbed in the sat becomes sad. In English, we say "sad guru", sat guru. Next one, chit guru.
Chit guru is the one who has too much knowledge. Chit guru will tell you many things. Finally we have ananda guru. The happiness only. Not too much this and that. Not too much knowledge. Simply the blissfulness of the guru.
So we have sat chit and ananda. Sat guru, chit guru, and ananda guru. We here recommend ananda guru, not the sad guru or the shit guru. The happy guru is better than sad guru. Okay.
The Sudden Burst of Enlightenment Source ¶
In here, we should know that enlightenment is from the guru. It's called sphota. Just like that. Sudden burst of enlightenment. And you have wisdom. If you are completely open and pure, surely you will have it. And if not, not a problem with me, problem is on your side. Okay?
Now in here, guru must necessarily be deep. Now there are different classes of deepness. Normal deep is just deep. Next level, deepak is the intermediate deepness. Like my friend on twitter, the Deepak Chopra, he is an example of the intermediate deepness. We call him deepak.
And then lastly we have the deepseat. The deepseat guru is actually seated in the very quantum. It is higher than the twitter guru, is completely in the deep, sitting in the deep. So deepseat guru and ananda guru, recommended grade of the guru. If you want to know the spiritual essential thing.
I am looking at the teleprompter. Definition of the guru is like so. Akhaṇḍa-maṇḍalākāraṃ vyāptaṃ yena carācaram, tat padaṃ darśitaṃ yena tasmai śrī gurave namaḥ. It is the one who shows you the unbroken mandala, in which without duality all living beings are moving and non-moving, the revealer is the guru. This is the guru principal in action.
Deep Origins of Supreme Sanskrit Truth ¶
And from here we come to deep deep topic. Again, it is because Sanskrit is the pure and the holy language, I must necessarily refer to the Sanskrit scripture. Do not ask why it is. For you to understand, not to ask questions. Here.
Janmādy asya yato ’nvayād itarataś cārtheṣv abhijñaḥ svarāṭ tene brahma hṛdā ya ādi-kavaye muhyanti yat sūrayaḥ | tejo-vāri-mṛdāṁ yathā vinimayo yatra tri-sargo ’mṛṣā dhāmnā svena sadā nirasta-kuhakaṁ satyaṁ paraṁ dhīmahi ||
Very deep. Janmādy asya yataḥ, from where the birth and all things are coming from. Anvayād itarataś, it is directly and indirectly understood. Abhijñaḥ svarāṭ, it is the omniscient and it is the independent sovereign. Tene brahma hṛdā ya ādi-kavaye, and from there, this origin, into the heart of the first poet, wisdom of the spirit was given. Muhyanti yat sūrayaḥ, and this is so bewildering to all the gods. Too many gods. All the gods are in the guru, principalities under the principal of the guru. They are very confused because all knowledge is in one place.
Tejo-vāri-mṛdāṁ, it is like the playing and reflection of the fire and the water. Vinimayo yatra tri-sargo ’mṛṣā, from this interaction of the duality, the three world universe is generated. Dhāmnā svena sadā, but in the own abode of the supreme spiritual, nirasta-kuhakaṁ, free of the illusion, free of the deceitfulness. No pollution will ever enter there. Satyaṁ paraṁ dhīmahi, and I meditate on this supreme truth. Can you even remember in English? If not, then you should study with the guru. Deepness.
What Is the Actual Guru and How Many? ¶
In here, what is the actual guru? We have given so many references. But also there is the vyasti-guru and the samasti-guru. Vyasti-guru, "asti" means "that is", "vyasti" means "is specifically". Like before you, is the me. The specific guru. Then we have samasti-guru, the cosmic guru that we connect with. All living beings, behind all living beings, universal guru, teaching all things through every media. Okay?
And there, we have to, should study with the elements of the universe. There is one tale of a guru, a spiritual seeker, who found at least 24 gurus. But in here we have at least 32 gurus, because we need to up the level.
In here we have the gurus of the universe, such as the earth, and the mountain, and the river, and the wind, and the thunder, and the fire, and the ocean, and the sky or the heaven. And we have the elephant, we have the hummingbird, we have the fish, we have the butterfly, we have the serpent, we have the tiger, we have the spider, and we have the eagle.
And we have the newborn baby, we have the virgin girl, we have the gentle man, we have the beloved, we have the harlot, we have the warrior, we have the hermit, and we have the wizard. And we have the space, and we have the moon, and the sun, and stars. And we have the black hole, and the nebula, and the supernova, and the wormhole.
So many gurus, what does it all mean? Surely it is bad business practice to immediately reveal the details of all these things. If you like to know, you can like and subscribe. Monthly subscription is not so very high, surely you can afford if you want to have the complete detail of the spiritual knowledge. Like this, it is the guruness of the universe that is available from the guruness of the guru of you.
Devotion and Mantra for the Trans Guru ¶
In here, it is that the disciple should devote to the guru, and remember the guru is sitting on a seat higher than you. Because guru is self-important. Even there is mantra for guru. For this guru, it is, for example, like so. Oṁ, Oṁ, Oṁ. Sva-maithunikāya namaste. I repeat. Oṁ sva-maithunikāya namaste. Oṁ sva-maithunikāya namaste.
Meaning is what? Maithuni means like copulation. Sva-maithunika means something like the wanker. Very much absorbed in pleasuring the self. "Namaste, my holy respect to you, over and over and time and time again." That I may receive. Everything coming out from this process of self-gratification. Now this may sound foul, little bit silly. But in there we have hidden meaning.
It is also that I am actually in the Jyotish astrological system Mithuna. Gemini. Like a twin. In one. And again, mithuna is between, usually, boys and girls. Sva-mithuna is meaning that I am the boy and I am the girl. I am the boy and I am the girl, like that. Inside of my spiritual soul, I am the female and I am the male, like Shiva and Sakti, Ardha-narishvara. I am a transgender, universal creature born of the origin of being. Before man become man, woman become woman.
So it is like this, we can enter more deeply, more deepakly and completely deepshitly into the spiritual teaching. This is all we have to say for today's Guru lesson. Don't forget to like and subscribe. Monthly fee, not so much. And always, may you find happiness through the spiritual wisdom available from the Guru person on the online channel. Namaste. See you again.
