Caring Is So Stupid ยท One Day Nobody Cares (SOS002)
You care yes. When there's something in it for you. Otherwise not really. If there's no reward in it, caring is just stupid. Right? Merrily we keep orbiting our belly buttons. Then one day, the world stops caring. The interconnected system of reality no longer has a role booked for us. Defunct. We expire. And nobody cares. That's the way it rolls.
So who cares? Like actually seriously cares? I so much do not care that I'm considering cutting this reel off right here and right now. But anyway, let's let it roll on.
So ye all human beings, mostly care about yourselves and things that matter to you. But that's it. Maybe you care about plants, maybe you care about animals. Because you get something out of it. Maybe you even care about other human beings, because you get some sort of a reward for yourself, your identity, out of it.
But if there's something that doesn't give you obvious and near immediate rewards, you don't really care. The sanity and well-being of other human beings, the future of our planet. What's in it for me?
And as for people who care about others and the world as a whole, without looking for rewards, internal or external, just doing it kind of unconditionally. Well, they're just stupid, right? Why would you ever do something if you don't get something out of it?
"Oh, but I do care", you say, "and don't you dare to suggest otherwise". "Because it makes me feel not good. Not that I'm going to take any actions to express that caring. But, you know, don't you claim that I don't." Or we could just skip that wholesale. "There's another one of those care bears, whatever, living in their fantasy worlds."
So we keep on living our lives, orbiting our belly buttons. And then, one day, the world stops caring about us. As in, not the world, as the human society. The world as a whole, the system of the world. You no longer have a role in it. What if your father in heavens stops caring? What if Jesus stops caring, right? "What you have done unto the least of them, you have done unto me." Said someone once upon a time.
So whatever all of this then sums up to, I have no idea. But alas, so I've rambled, and tomorrow I shall plant some plants. So that's all, folks. Caring is sharing, sharing is caring, whatever the saying is. But if you say you care, then walk your talk. That's a thing. So that's all. See you later.
