The following is a channel-wide policy statement impacting the broadcast model of our multiple interconnected series on this platform. It doubles as a declaration of fundamental principles and creator sovereignty — a reminder for all fellow creators to be real and true to yourselves, rather than bowing to the dictates of the algorithm.
The message from YouTube is clear. We've done everything by the book, above and beyond what most creators do. At this point, we have hundreds of reels, dozens of hours in multiple series organized into their playlists. Clean metadata, decent covers, respectable editing. These dozens of series organized into islands or thematic clusters on the homepage of the channel.
All of that is an abundance of data for the algorithm and the underlying multimodal AI to understand the bearings of what we broadcast. It's not that the algorithm gets "confused" when you broadcast on a broader spectrum of concerns. If I drop the index of our productions to any one of these major LLM models, Grok, Claude, ChatGPT and even Gemini, they have no trouble whatsoever seeing it as an interconnected whole.
What's happening here is not the algorithm getting confused. What's happening is you are being shoved into a bucket. Sim clusters, niche silos — stick to your topic or you will be penalized. It's also not a matter of advancing topical expertise. That's simply how the interface presents it for you.
It's all about targeted ads. In order to maximize ad yields, the system must drive you into intention tunnels, into attention funnels, exaggerating your needs and wants, converting you into a recognized member of a target audience.
Then, if your productions do not fall in line with this imperative, your reach will be limited. Or — as in my case, with a broad spectrum polymath class coverage, combined with an anti-establishment open access free for all message, filed into the last final oblivion of the algorithm.
