Healing the Unstruck Heart • Heart-Light Chakra Tuning (FW003)Play

— Wizard Ji! Such burdens upon my heart! Please help me open the heart-light center!
— So you're visualizing that emerald lotus star in your chest — chanting the yam-yams?

None of that will lift the veils or center your heart into balance — not when you keep fusing it with the biased tensions you generate. "Anahata" means "unstruck" — the heart chakra finds peace when you stop beating it with your polarized drives. Don't beat your heart — let your heart beat free. Open your heart — empathy for all — and light and bright it grows.

Greetings! What seems to be the burden upon thy heart on this sunny afternoon, my good fellow?

— Wizard Ji, there is such a burden of heaviness upon my little heart! I have been opening my heart chakra, cultivating the heart light, but it does not seem to emanate. How do I return to radiance in my heart?

Right. Well, let's take it from the basics. So you're trying to get your heart sorted by contemplating on an emerald-colored lotus star with twelve petals in the middle of your chest. Something like this, right? Chanting "yam yam yam" like you're munching on candy bars.

That won't fix your heart. That won't purge away the pollutions you hold on to. It will not ever be light and bright if you keep on veiling it with your illusions. When it's all about my precious little heart and how I'm feeling, you're just tying the knots tighter. You're strangling yourself in this twisted self-absorption.

Measure one. Let go of it. Seek that lightness, peace, radiance, in a heart filled with empathy. A heart wide open. For all living beings. For all of existence. Where you step aside from the framing of "me and me" and what I want. Where you pause to consider: What's the calling in the environment? What can I do? Instead of, what can I get?

The heart, just as every one of your psycho-energic centers, blossoms when it flows free in the middle, liberated from the pushes and pulls of positives and negatives. The heart, they call the "anahata chakram", the unstruck wheel.

The striking and beating that adds to the burdens of your heart happens when you assert your subject separation. Contradictions, conflicts between you and the other, between inside and outside, between above and below. And my friend, for as long as you hold on to these separations, as long as you remain biased, one way or another, you will not land in the center.

You will simply keep on beating yourself, you will keep on battling the world, adding to the burdens of your being. This friction, this burn, and the smoke and smog that follows, veils your heart. Clear away the veils you craft, your inner sun will shine, the heartlight will radiate naturally.

When you let go of your clinging to the pushes and pulls of separation, then, and only then, will your practice of "yam yam yam", while contemplating on the twelve-petaled emerald flower in the center of your being, bear some fruit. It helps you vibe with the atmosphere of your heart. It helps you zone into the essence.

But no flower will ever blossom in your inner garden when the soil is compacted and seeded with salt. Then dispel your own clouds, open up the pores in that mass of your dense conditioning. Let the sunshine in. Let oxygen flow freely into your inner terrain. Have a heart for all, without conditions, and the essence of every heart will shine in the core of your being.

And sing songs of freedom. Lessen the burdens of your heart. Kamala dala-jala, jivana talamala, bhajahu hari-pada niti re...
