Our path of conscious evolution is guided with the second insight: Clear Perception. We begin our quest for beacons of orientation. Books of wisdom, insight media, elders and fellow seekers on the path. Nature and the ecosystem, the patterns of our own being.
Not teachers of doctrines — but doors and windows that open and reveal, inviting us into direct experience of the truth of "what is". This is the second station — for clear perspectives and coherent orientation in our journey.
On the foundations of the first insight of raw presence, the recognition of our conditions, the path proceeds into a quest for insight. In our quest for true bearings, we do not seek hypothetical models, conceptual realities. Instead we seek for the truth that can be directly witnessed.
We read books of wisdom. We attend to insight media. We hear the message. We reflect on the stance and behavior of those with deeper and broader experience of the path. We convene with friends, fellow pathfarers, exchanging insights and experiences from the path of our evolution. None of that to study doctrines or to repeat the views of another. We are not clones. We do not emulate. We discover reality through direct experience.
We turn to nature and environment for insight. We study the cycles of life, the dynamics of an interdependent ecosystem. We are born of nature. Nature is our prime teacher. Earth the teacher of earth, water the teacher of water, fire the teacher of fire and air the teacher of air. Space too the teacher of space — none other.
We turn our gaze inward. What are we? What is our composition? What our body? What our feelings? What our thought constructs? What our identity? All of it as it is — from that too we learn.
On the foundation of raw presence. Our gaze turned toward the patterns of actuality. We establish our base of orientation. With the second insight, the insight of clear perception, our evolution proceeds into a horizon stripped of illusions.
